Our weekly summer fine art camp will keep your child creative this summer. Each week takes inspiration from a different theme, so attendees registered for multiple weeks will not repeat projects. A wide range of mediums will be offered each week to create a number of unique pieces of art. Mediums include Graphite pencil, watercolors, colored pencil, charcoal, markers, acrylic, markers, ink, pastels and clay. In addition to fine arts, daily crafts will also be offered. Morning campers should bring a snack. Full day campers should bring a snack and lunch. Please no peanuts or tree nuts for snacks or lunch.

Times & Rates: Half day Morning 9 am to 12 pm – Price $350
Half Day Afternoons 1 pm to 3 pm – Price $250

Dates & Themes:

Week 1 : June 16 to June 20 – Fantasy Week One-  Mythical & imaginary creatures, comic book characters, dinosaurs, cartoon characterss, anime, polymer clay sculptures.

Week 2: June 23 to June 27 – World Tour – World City vistas,  beautiful landscapes, tropical flowers, African Savannahs, Mountains and lakes, drawings and paintings of animals of the World.

Week 3: June 30 to July 3 – Drawing Academy Basic & advanced drawing techniques – linear perspective, understanding value, shading, erasing and blending. Subject matter: Still life, portraiture, architecture and animals. Mediums: Graphite, colored pencils, charcoal, pastels and markers.

Week 4: July 7 to July 11 – Animals of the World Paint your pet or favorite animal, rain forest creatures, coral reef life, African & Asian wildlife, clay animal sculptures, Animal mosaics.

Week 5: July 14 to July 18 – Tropical Adventures Beautiful sunsets, tropical animals, exotic fruits, tropical flowers and sun-drenched beaches. 

Week 6: July 21 to July 25 – Traditional Crafts Weaving, throwing pots on a pottery wheel, hand-sewing, knitting, mosaic tile art, paper quilling, painting, crochet, pom-poms, clay modelling, tie dye, paper mache and jewelry making

Week 7: July 28 to August 1 – Abstract Art  Impressionism, pointillism, geometric art, cubism, Zentangles, faux stained glass, sculpture, mandalas and fluid art. Campers will also be introduced to the art works of the great abstract art masters such as Van Gogh, Monet, Kandinsky, Picasso and O’Keeffe.

Week 8: August 4 to August 8 – Fantasy  Week Two- Mythical creatures, aliens, comic book characters, pokemon characters, cartoon characters, anime, surrealism and much much more
