Our weekly summer fine art camp will keep your child creative this summer. Each week takes inspiration from a different theme, so attendees registered for multiple weeks will not repeat projects. A wide range of mediums will be offered each week to create a number of unique pieces of art. Mediums include Graphite pencil, watercolors, colored pencil, charcoal, markers, acrylic, markers, ink, pastels and clay. In addition to fine arts, daily crafts will also be offered. Morning campers should bring a snack. Full day campers should bring a snack and lunch. Please no peanuts or tree nuts for snacks or lunch. No gum.
Times & Rates: Half day Morning 9 am to 12 pm – Price $390
Half Day Afternoons 1 pm to 3 pm – Price $270
Full Day 9 am to 3 pm – Price $550
Dates & Themes:
Week 1 : June 15 to June 19 – Mythical Creatures & Fantastic Beasts- Paint, draw and sculpt mythical creatures, create your own imaginary creatures and worlds, paper mache mask making, build dragon puppets, design and create a gargoyle and craft fairy houses.
Week 2: June 22 to June 26 – World Tour – World City vistas, beautiful landscapes, tropical flowers, African Savannahs, Mountains and lakes, drawings and paintings of animals of the World.
Week 3: June 29 to July 2 –Wild Worlds – Jungle to Ocean Adventures – Draw, paint and sculpt jungle and ocean creatures, paint jungle and ocean landscapes, make an ocean themed mobile.
Week 4: July 6 to July 10 – Animals of the World Paint your pet or favorite animal, rain forest creatures, coral reef life, African & Asian wildlife, clay animal sculptures, Animal mosaics.
Week 5: July 13 to July 17 – Tropical Adventures Beautiful sunsets, tropical animals, exotic fruits, tropical flowers and sun-drenched beaches.
Week 6: July 20 to July 24 – Traditional Crafts Weaving, hand-sewing, knitting, mosaic tile art, paper quilling, painting, crochet, pom-poms, clay modelling, tie dye, paper mache and jewelry making
Week 7: July 27 to July 31 – Abstract Art Impressionism, pointillism, geometric art, cubism, Zentangles, faux stained glass, sculpture, mandalas and fluid art. Campers will also be introduced to the art works of the great abstract art masters such as Van Gogh, Monet, Kandinsky, Picasso and O’Keeffe.
Week 8: August 3 to August 7 – Fairy Tales and Fantasy Week- Mythical creatures and worlds, aliens, comic book characters, pokemon characters, cartoon characters, anime, surrealism and much much more
